A Traditional Celebration on the Harbor

Aaron and Maya celebrated their love by pairing ancient traditions with a chic, modern setting.  The beautiful backdrop of soaring glass buildings made for a striking statement against the tradition chuppah under which the couple was married.  This alter feature was adorned with traditional prayer shawls called tallits and the groom wore a tallit during a portion of the ceremony.  The bride and groom also held to the tradition of signing and displaying their ketubah, a formal marriage contract written in the Hebrew language.  All of this attention to time honored tradition leaves us feeling wistfully appreciative when looking back at these gorgeous photos.

A Simple Vineyard Affair in Berryville VA

Unassuming Elegance was the vibe on this couple's wedding day. Nicole and Andrew said their vows in a church under epic stained glass and celebrated their marriage in a rustic barn venue on a Vineyard.  The settings spoke for themselves and the bride's delicate lace dress complimented by the the groom's cowboy boots told a story about a simplicity and earthiness that was carried throughout the wedding details.  Check out that killer drone shot at the end that ties it all together.

A Posh Backyard Picnic in Central VA

Jeff and Nancy shared their vows on their personal property with a small gathering of family and friends.  The vibe complemented the venue perfectly in that it was laid back but sophisticated and thoughtful.  The hay was rolled from the land that was cleared for parking and the couple's gorgeous home provided a perfect backdrop for their ceremony.  A small tent hosted the festivities late into the evening and the black and white gingham screamed refined yet relaxed.  Love this "posh picnic" option for a DIY bride.

A Tropical Tryst in Puerto Rico

Roni and Mitch designed a lush and luxurious event inspired by the destination- Puerto Rico. The bold tone on tone color and metallic touches made for an expensive-feeling yet incredibly warm and welcoming reception by the sea. The deep blue and black worn interchangeably by the bridal party made for a chic under statement in comparison to the luxe decor. Such a dreamy destination wedding!

A Blush and Blue Barn Wedding

Julia and Andrew celebrated their love at the beautiful Sorella Farms in Evington, VA.  Their details were simultaneously of the moment and classically chic.  Blue and blush made for a gorgeously muted bridal party group shot and the blush underlay of Julia's dress really made all that lace pop.  And with a maiden name like Brittain that hashtag is just too clever!

A Countryside-Chic Celebration at Sorella Farms

Mandi and Donnie's wedding combined girly touches of pale pink and sequins with the rustic charm of a weathered barn venue.  This unlikely pairing reflected the bride and groom perfectly and came together to create a party representative of their relationship.  The celebration couldn't be dampened, even by the rain, as their large group of family and friends partied strong to the end to give them a farewell sparkler departure.

A Country Club Classic in Lynchburg, VA

This timelessly classic affair included a church wedding followed by a reception at the sprawling Boonsboro Country Club. The reception was lit by dozens of candles and hundreds of twinkle lights and the dance floor was full all evening long.  We love that the couple used an antique car to arrive and get away in style- pure class.

Erin & Matt

This gorgeous wedding took place at Stone Tower Winery in Loudoun County, Virginia.  The couple gave a nod to southern charm in several details including the cigar bar and the mint julep cups that held the head table arrangements.  The earthy elegance of the venue was repeated in the petal pink of the girl's dresses and the warm wooden tones of so many of the details.  We will call this one rustic done right.
